We’ll start by talking about your injury, how it happened, your symptoms, and any medical history that might be helpful. This helps us understand what you’re dealing with. -
Look at How You Move
Next, we’ll check your posture, flexibility, strength, and how your body moves. This helps us figure out what might be causing pain or limiting your movement. -
Examine the Injury
We’ll gently check the injured area to see what’s going on. Don’t worry — we’ll explain everything we’re doing and make sure you’re comfortable throughout. -
Make a Plan
After the assessment, we’ll talk through what we found and create a recovery plan just for you. This may include exercises, hands-on treatment, and advice on what to do (or avoid) at home.

What to expect:
1. Initial Discussion
We will begin with a short consultation to understand your symptoms, activity level, injury history, and any specific areas of concern. This allows us to tailor the treatment to your needs and goals — whether that’s recovery, pain relief, or performance.
2. Assessment (if needed)
Sometimes we may do a quick movement check or palpation to assess tightness, imbalances, or areas of restriction. This helps guide the focus of the massage.
3. Massage Techniques
The treatment will use a combination of techniques, including:

Effleurage: Long, sweeping strokes used to warm up the muscles and increase circulation. This helps prepare the body for deeper work.

Petrissage: Kneading and rolling movements that work deeper into the muscles to release tension and mobilize soft tissue.

Friction: Deep, focused pressure (often using thumbs or fingers) to target knots, adhesions (scar tissue), and trigger points.

Compression: Rhythmic pressing into muscles to increase blood flow and relieve muscle spasms or fatigue.

Stretching and Mobilisation: Passive or active stretching may be used to improve flexibility and joint range of motion.
4. Aftercare Advice
Post-treatment, we will offer guidance such as gentle stretching, hydration tips, and advice on activity modification if necessary. You may feel slightly sore for 24–48 hours — this is normal and should ease as your muscles adapt.
